New admission tests – The re-designed computer-based testing (CBT)

A key principle in developing EPSO's enhanced selection methods is the shift from knowledge to competency-based assessment whilst continuing to respect the principle of fair and equal treatment at the same time. This approach will also be applied at the pre-selection stage of future open competitions. That's why EPSO will enlarge its range of cognitive ability tests by replacing the EU knowledge test with an abstract reasoning test. This test - which is free of linguistic elements - offers a range of advantages for conducting fair and impartial assessments of candidates from 27 different EU Member States.

20 January 2010 - new AD concours

In March 2010 EPSO will launch our Administrator competition (AD5) which will incorporate the following five fields:
  • European Public Administration
  • Law
  • Economics
  • Audit
  • Information and Communication Technology

2010 will be an exciting year for careers with the EU institutions, with the launch of our new selection procedures in March for Administrators - and for Linguists and Assistants later in the year. Whatever opportunity you want to apply for you will need to have an EPSO Account. If you do not already have one you can create one here.

4 January 2010 - new EPSO procedures

In 2010, EPSO will introduce a new procedure for selecting permanent staff for EU institutions. With fewer steps the competition procedure will become quicker. Furthe more there will be annual competitions for the most common job profiles. A competency-based testing will be introduced.
