The case study confronts the applicant with a "real" problem that needs to be solved. This involves a series of documents, such as e-mails, reports, newspaper articles, etc., which must be analysed. Applicants write a text at a computer which is evaluated.
Case studies are applied in the framework of internal competitions of the COM or of EPSO. By our case study the following competencies can be trained:
- Critical thinking, analysing and creative problem-solving
- Intrapreneurship
- Written communication
- Decision making and getting results
